Option 1 — Quechan Tribe Lot (Andrade)
The official paved lot directly at the border, run by the Quechan Tribe. $8 USD per day (cash only, exact change preferred). Open 24/7, attended, fenced, lit at night. The closest possible parking — a 60-second walk to the pedestrian gate. Address: Picacho Road, Winterhaven, CA 92283. This is the option 90% of patients use.
Option 2 — Free street parking on the US side
There is some free public parking along Andrade Road and the Picacho casino lot. Free, but be aware: your car will be left unattended near a busy crossing. Bring no valuables, lock everything, take a photo of where you parked. We do not recommend overnight stays here.
Option 3 — Yuma airport long-term lot
If you flew in, the Yuma International Airport long-term lot is $8/day with shuttle service to the terminal, and Uber/Lyft from there to the border is $20–30. Most fly-in patients prefer to skip this and Uber straight from the airport to Andrade.
Option 4 — RV parking
Andrade has limited RV-friendly spaces (call ahead: 760-572-2596). Most snowbirds in RVs use one of the Yuma campgrounds (Cocopah, Sundance, Paradise Casino) and Uber to the border for $25–30 each way. Highly recommended over driving an RV near the crossing.
Security tips
Vehicle break-ins at border lots are uncommon but not zero. Best practice: leave nothing visible, no GPS suction marks on windshield, take wallet/passport with you (do not leave them in the glove box). Tip: if you are doing a multi-day treatment, the Quechan lot has a discounted multi-day rate — ask the attendant.
